Mon Ami (French for “my friend”) Trauma Troops is a registered non-profit organisation (NPO No: 105-635), community based support group established in 2007. MATT provides emotional support, as well as victim empowerment, to people that has been affected by traumatic experiences in the Pretoria and greater Tshwane areas.
MATT accepts the client’s values and approaches the client as a unique individual, we allow the client to decide how he or she would like to handle any given situation. MATT lets the client verbalise their feelings in a one-on-one basis or in a group discussion. All situations are, however, treated as strictly confidential.
MATT is a group dedicated to continuous improvement to benefit and engage the bigger community. The group is democratic and inclusive of ethic values to respect human life and the environment.
We assist with:
- The death of a loved one
- House robberies or housebreakings
- Armed robberies / Street robberies
- Business robberies
- Assist family and friends after a loved one’s suicide
- If a loved one was in a serious accident
- If you or a loved one was highjacked
- If you or a loved one were a victim of a crime
- If you have been a victim of gender-based valiance and / or sexual assault
