
BRENDA’S KITCHEN OF HOPE
Brenda’s Kitchen of Hope is a project of the Valley Crisis and Development Centre (VCDC), offers food to the marginalised and vulnerable people in the community.

The Soup Kitchen
Every second Friday, the Kitchen offers stew and pap to the homeless.

Daily Feeding Of The Homeless
There is assistance with sandwiches on a daily basis and on the days when there is no soup kitchen.

Food Boxes
Providing families with dry food which consists of products such as milk, fish, and jam. Assorted tin food, mealie meal, oats, soups, jellies, pasta, sugar, oil, and other non-perishables.

Feed A Friend
Provides mix packs of food containing rice, soya and dehydrated vegetables, and each pack is able to feed a family of four.

CHRISTMAS DRIVE
The Christmas Drive covers a variety of areas, and aims to reach as many of the community as possible. The Drive takes place in a weeks period of time with the participating volunteers and organisations attending at their own costs. We bring hope, love, life and laughter to our community and we bring the community the real reason for Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ! We have so many people along the road, some standing, others sitting having a braai, all colours of the rainbow, one nation.




DOMESTIC WORKERS UNITE PROGRAMME
Domestic Workers Unite is a community-based initiative offering free empowerment training for domestic workers who face increasing safety risks both at work and while travelling. This program equips them with essential knowledge and practical skills in first aid, self-defense, self-care, and handling high-risk situations such as armed robberies.
